MANTECH Reference Standards
Reference standards are important tools in ensuring measurement quality. They are used to validate a method or an instrument and are required to be analyzed in any accredited laboratory across various industries.
MANTECH automated systems make it easy for laboratories to incorporate reference standards into their analysis procedures. Standards can be run automatically every 10 – 20 samples, or as often as required, for parameters such as automated conductivity, alkalinity, turbidity, fluoride, and many others. These quality control checks give the laboratory the confidence that the system is functioning properly since results must be within a specified percentage of the expected value to certify the instrument to analyze samples with unknown concentration.
MANTECH offers a variety of reference solutions for use with any MANTECH automated system. The Standards kit for pH, conductivity, Total alkalinity, Fluoride, Chloride 3X500mL bottles for low, mid and high concentration is ideal for multi-parameter analysis. Each 500mL bottle contains a known concentration of each parameter, so that quality control checks can occur from one sample tube, rather than measuring out a different standard for each parameter. The kit includes 3 bottles designated low, mid and high, providing different concentrations of each parameter to ensure the instrument is operating correctly over multiple concentration ranges.
Turbidity standards are also available in a wide selection of concentrations. These polymer-based standards are safe to use and maintain consistent particle size and size distribution, reducing variability between lots.
MANTECH GGA Standards are an easy-to-use option for the MANTECH automated PC-BOD system, as they are accurately pre-measured for single use with no pipetting required.
Laboratories can also make use of MANTECH’s certified TAN and TBN standards for use with the automated MANTECH PetroMulti™ Analyzers.
